Because of the way that WebDDM was engineered, it has from the start been the fastest menu in existence.

WebDDM versus Flash menus

Recently Flash menus have been very popular. Flash menus have some very serious issues, however: they are not search engine friendly, and they can take several seconds to load. This is annoying and distracting for visitors to see "loading" screens in place of a menu, and sometimes the browser will be unresponsive for several seconds until the menu is done loading. Flash menus also take longer to set up and can be quite expensive. Why bother? WebDDM has a lot of fancy effects too.

All of our Javascript "competitors" have some serious speed problems. One of them loads for nearly ten seconds. We don't want to name it, but this same menu actually crashes the Safari browser. And it costs over $100 just for a single-site license. Why bother?
